Work on the Wall Begins!
Work has begun in earnest on the mandated perimeter barrier around the orphanage facility buildings. We are still working on raising all the funds needed to complete the barrier, but many generous donors are helping us meet our goal. Thanks to funds raised at our garage sale and a collection taken up by Greater St. Albert Roman Catholic Schools, work on the mandated perimeter wall has begun! Construction plans were previously approved by the Ugandan government. This is an important step in reassuring the government that Our Lady of Kibeho is taking steps to meet the government requirements. We need to fund-raise $93 000 in total to complete the perimeter wall, by 2027. The fence which will provide more security for the staff and girls at the orphanage. We have started a campaign, "Buy a Brick", to help fund the fence. Each brick costs only $50, and will go a long ways to making this project a success. Please donate today. We need to "sell" 1860 bricks in all.
